The APGs, synthesized from natural and renewable fatty alcohols and glucose, are a new type of nonionic surfactant with comprehensive performances, which not only show the characteristics of nonionic surfactant, but also perform the properties of anionic surfactant, APGs are considered worldwide as"green"functional surfactant. With the properties of strong wetting, detergency, rich foaming and fully biodegradability, APGs are able to formulate with other surfactants, where synergic effect can usually be found. In addition, they perform excellent resistance to strong alkaline, acid, hard water, and salt. All the superior properties of the APGs make them comprehensively used in the application of personal care, industrial cleaning, agrochemical, textile, energy and so on.
