AEOs are Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates based on natural prime alcohols and ethylene oxide, and widely used in detergents, textile, emulsifiers etc. The numeric portion of the product name indicates the general degree of ethoxylation. AEOs with EO number less than or equal to 5, have good-solubility in oil and can be used as W/O type emulsifiers, and can also be used as raw materials for AES (fatty alcohol ethoxylates sulfate), AEOs with EO number greater than or equal to 7, have good-solubility in water, and have excellent emulsifying, cleansing and wetting properties, can be used as detergent and degreaser in woolen industry; as a fabric detergent and refining agent. The carbon chain can be also customized, such as Isomeric alcohol ethoxylates, which have good fluidity at low temperature, low foaming, and can be widely used in concentrated liquid detergents.
